Using Gistnode

By creating a Gistnode account or using the app, you agree to these terms. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use Gistnode. You're responsible for the security of your device and account, and for the messages, media, and calls you send.

Your content

You own what you send. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted, we don't review your content before it's delivered and generally can't access it. You're still responsible for making sure you have the right to share whatever you send, and for not using Gistnode to harass, defraud, or harm others.

Acceptable use

• No spam, scams, or bulk unsolicited messaging.
• No impersonation, harassment, or illegal content.
• No attempting to break, reverse-engineer, or abuse the encryption or infrastructure.
• No automated scraping of other users' data.

Reports of abuse go to a human reviewer. Accounts that break these rules may be warned, restricted, or removed.

Service availability

Gistnode is provided "as is." We work to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted • this is especially true while newer parts of the app (like calls infrastructure) are still maturing.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll do our best to let you know in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Gistnode after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gistnode and its team aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
